What is a Zinc Air Battery?

A small button-cell shaped battery that is commonly used for hearing aids, it is a battery that oxides zinc with oxygen to obtain power. Normally, zinc-air batteries have a 1.45 voltage and boast an excellent battery life. Because it only has a 2 percent self-discharge rate per year, it is acknowledged as a cost-effective battery. Other than hearing aids, zinc-air batteries are also used in electronics such as calculators and wristwatches.
